A few years ago, Spotlight launched an occasional video monologue competition. I entered 2 of the (I think) 3 they ran – the one I missed clashed with actual work :) Each time, they would ask for a two minute monologue on a given theme prompted by a single word. I chose to write my own and found the short deadlines a helpful discipline. Here are my entries. If you enjoy them and fancy seeing others, why not send me a one word suggestion?

Something else I'd love your thoughts on... This is a very old podcast pilot I made. I had big ideas for an idiosyncratic arts forum and circulated this among friends and online contacts more widely for feedback. They rightly identified it's too long and I still had a bit to learn about mixing speech and music (well, speech and bagpipes, specifically). I also learned what a lot of work it was to put together! But might it be worth another shot? What do you think?
